Hey, It's World Kindness Day! (And World Kindness Week)

Hey everyone,

Today is a very special day, and this week is an even more special week. Each year, the 13th of November marks World Kindness Day, and the week in which that falls is World Kindness Week. These occasions are closely tied to Random Acts of Kindness Week (which takes place every February.) So, here's my challenge to you: Each day this week, do something nice for someone else. A friend, a family member, a complete stranger, an occasional acquaintance. It can be planned or unplanned, thoroughly thought out or as simple and random as holding a door open for someone. Just be nice for the sake of being nice, and see how great it feels!

Here are some thoughtful ideas to get you started. I love the idea of simply sending a handwritten thank-you to someone who has made a difference in your life or letting someone ahead of you in a long line. So simple, yet will, without a doubt, be greatly appreciated! So many of the best things in life really do come without a price-tag!

I might also be asking you to do this to get you warmed up for an amazing campaign and contest that we have coming up beginning this month, which consists of spreading kindness throughout our community. So, start making a list of sweet things you'd like to do for others to brighten up these darker months with a touch of generosity, and prepare to be super stoked when you find out just what's going on here at Young & Free Indiana in the coming week!

What's the nicest unexpected thing that's ever happened to you? Did you pass it on?

Be well,

Aly
